CDCP & insurance, made simple
Good dental care shouldn't come with a paperwork headache. We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan and bill most insurers directly — so you can focus on your appointment, not the admin.
Canadian Dental Care Plan
We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan
The CDCP is a federal program helping eligible Canadian residents without private dental insurance afford the care they need. As the plan expands, more Aurora residents — including seniors, families and newcomers — now qualify. If you're enrolled, you're welcome here.
How CDCP works here
- 1. Apply & enrol. Apply through Service Canada. Once approved, you'll receive a CDCP member card from Sun Life.
- 2. Book with us. Call (905) 727-6453 or book online, and let us know you're a CDCP member.
- 3. Bring your card. We'll bill the plan directly. Any patient co-payment is explained clearly before treatment. [CONFIRM]
Who qualifies for the CDCP
Eligibility is set by the federal government. In general, the plan is for Canadian residents who:
- Do not have access to private dental insurance.
- Have an adjusted family net income below the program threshold.
- Have filed their most recent tax return.
Eligibility rules and covered age groups continue to expand. The official Government of Canada page always has the current details — check your eligibility here.
What the CDCP helps cover
The plan contributes toward a range of routine and necessary dental services, which may include:
- Examinations, X-rays and diagnostics.
- Cleanings, scaling and preventive care.
- Fillings and other restorative treatment.
- Other services as covered by the plan. [CONFIRM specifics with practice]
Some treatments may involve a co-payment depending on your income tier. We'll always walk you through any cost before we begin.
